In november 2008 Rachel Cohen created an exhibition of her photos at Winchester Discovery Centre.
Copies of the photos were hidden in books by the artist and by staff and users of the library.
The titles of the books chosen were used to make poems in a creative writing workshop

learning to swim in a drought

Afloat on the deep, heavy water
a play of light reflects islands on his pale blue eyes.

Down river
the tide turns the tiller of turbulent waters.
nightmares and dreamscapes

The sea, the sea, the darkening sea.
Fighting the current
in a glass cage of stars.

Waves whispering on the water
the tangled destiny of the visible world
twisted, lost.

We didn’t mean to go to sea
the point of no return.
