Throughout October 2006 Rachel Cohen hid 300 photographs in books throughout Jubilee Library as part of Brighton Photo Fringe. Readers discovering the photos were invited to contribute their own words, inspired by the image, to an exhibition in the library foyer. They were free to keep the original artwork.
This project led to similar exhibitions at Barbican , Wandsworth and Winchester Libraries, and to an artist’s book, The Colour of Water held in Jubliee library’s Rare Books Collection. Rachel Cohen ran creative workshops at Bush Hill Park Library in Enfield making art from old books.
